We recently built this single free city bike for a customer to ride across the city to work each day. A single freewheel for commuting is ideal as it requires little maintenance and runs smoothly. Generator lights allow you to visible day and night without having to worry about charging batteries and a custom Mariposa rear carrier is great for carrying a pannier with work clothes, a rain cape, books or a laptop. Of course, mudguards will keep you dry in most conditions, especially, if you have a good rain cape. And, large tires smooth out the cracks and bumps which plague Toronto's streets.
