Ten years ago, we built a drop bar Mariposa Allroad bicycle with a SRAM Force 1 x group for the customer with Columbus Spirit tubing, Honjo mudguards, Rene Herse Barlow Pass 38 mm tires, and a Whisky carbon fork. It was used year round on his Toronto commute to work and eventually adapted to a flat bar bike with SRAM levers. The daily use in the salt and city muck led to corrosion of certain parts that weren’t protected from the spray by the mudguards but with a quick refresh in our workshop this summer, the bike remains as quick and smooth as ever.
