The Mariposa Team had an fantastic weekend at the Canadian Track National Championships, winning 12 medals and Ashlin Barry set a Canadian Record in the U-17 2km Pursuit 2:16.735. Thank you to Canadian Cycling and all the volunteers for a great weekend of racing. Thank you to the NCIM, Chris Reid, David Jack, Martin Honsberger and Jenny Trew for helping the kids train, become better bike racers and learn to work as as team.  Also, a big thanks to Bioracer for the speed suites!

The Worlds best track racers will be competing May 12-15 at the UCI Tissot Track Nations Cup in Milton, ON.  Don’t miss this opportunity to cheer on Olympic medallist Kelsey Mitchell and her Canadian teammates.  Tickets are available here>>

The weekend started with Ashlin Barry setting a new Canadian Record in the U-17 2km Pursuit 2:16.735

Hudson Lubbers won a bronze medal in the Junior Keirin.

Charlie Walsh recorded the fastest first lap in the Team Sprint.  A great start on their way to winning the Gold medal.

 

 

Dede Barry

Dede Barry is a Silver medallist from the 2004 Athens Olympics and multiple medallist of World, National and Pan-American Championships. She is now an owner of Mariposa Bicycles and continues to ride her bike daily in and around Toronto and guides cycling tours internationally.
