The carriers, decalleur, cages and mudguard stays were custom designed and handbuilt by Michael Barry in the Mariposa workshop with lightweight aviation tubing and chrome plated. Clara chose compact gearing with 50-34 front chainrings and 11-28 rear cassette. The fork and rear triangle can accommodate tires as wide as 48mm.
The front low rider carriers are designed to be used when doing heavily loaded touring, but are easily removable with an allen key for light tours.
Note the integration of the rear carrier and pump peg into the frame design, as well as the Lezyne HP pump painted to match.

Paul Components Klamper cable disc brakes were selected, as they are easily serviced when traveling remotely.
The Ritchey Classic stem was painted with a “Redfeather”.
The bicycle can accommodate three water bottle cages for remote tours.
The bicycle is fitted with a Chris King threadless 1-1/8″ headset and Compass Barlow Pass 700C x 38mm tires.
