INSTALLATION & HELPFUL TIPS
- PLEASE CHECK YOU HAVE SELECTED TO CORRECT TIRE SIZE AND WIDTH, PARTICULARLY WIDTH.
- FITTING
- Almost every issue we ever have reported to us is related to problems caused by incorrect fitting. But don’t worry, with a little care and attention the tubes are very easy to fit and will be trouble-free. You should put a small amount of air into the tube when fitting it, to the point it forms a circle but does not stretch the material. This will almost eliminate the chance of a pinch when fitting but do not further inflate the tube unless it is inside the tire. Due to its nature, TPU does not expand as a rubber tube does when not encased and may become damaged.
- As with all tubes, before fitting check your rim tape for damage.
- You must check that the valve stem is well aligned with the valve hole so that there is no sideways force being applied to the valve stem and the point where it meets the tube. This is most important with deeper rims
- We highly recommend you watch this 3 MINUTE VIDEO we have made before fitting your tubes to make sure you have the best possible riding experience with them
- VALVE CORE REMOVAL – All valves have removable cores. You should grip the stem as close to the top as possible (valve end) with firm finger pressure, then rotate the valve core with a valve tool, applying slowly increasing force until the core rotates free. Do not grip the stem lower down or attempt to grip it at the base and rotate the core.
Frequently asked questions:
Can you patch Nano tubes?
Yes you can, you need a specific TPU patch kit. They are readily available at most bike shops. Park Tools also have a great option with their GP2 preglued patches, which we have in stock>>. Just make sure the tube is clean and don’t use the sandpaper to roughen the surface.
