What to cook.

Banana Blueberry Bread

  • 1 loaf
  • Time: 1 hour 15 minutes


For the bread:

  • 1 stick of butter
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon backing soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 cup of blueberries

For the topping:

  • 3 Tablespoons of chopped walnuts or peacans
  • 2 Tablespoons of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon


  • Heat oven to 350 F.  Lightly grease a 9 x 5 inch bread pan or line with parchment paper.
  • Using an electric mixer, cream butter, add brown sugar, eggs and bananas and mix until no lumps remain.
  • Stir dry ingredients together and then mix with banana mixture until well combined.  Pour into prepared pan.
  • Mix topping with mortar and pestle and then cover the top of the bread dough.
  • Bake about 55 to 65 minutes.  Cool before cutting and eating.
