Jack Taylor Cycles was the idea of three brothers, all involved with cycling — Jack, Ken, and Norman Taylor — starting in the 1930s. They produced a wide range of handbuilt bicycles in Stockton-on-Tees, England.  The three brothers produced bicycles together from 1945 through to the early 1990’s.  Jack Taylor bicycles are widely respected for their innovative designs as well as the quality of the fillet brazed and lugged construction in their bicycles, tricycles, and tandems.
This example, the “Super Clubman” model from 1963, was purchased from an elderly British cyclist and imported to Canada.  Over the winter of 2022 the frame was beautifully restored in the Mariposa workshop, then built up by the current owner with a mix of original and period components.

  1. On the spec list, don’t forget that fabulous Zefal chain guard! It’s a beauty.
