Chris Monette’s beautiful 3 chapter documentary about the origins and ethos of the Growling Beaver Brevet, an annual charity ride held in Collingwood, Ontario. The Growling Beaver supports the Davis Phinney Foundation and Parkinson Wellness Project, two charities dedicated to helping people with Parkinson’s to Live Well Today.

Chapter 2 of Chris Monette’s film about the Growling Beaver Brevet takes us inside the ride itself. Hear from co-founders and repeat participants about what makes the GBB, held annually on the Saturday before Thanksgiving, so special — including why suffering is important.

The final chapter of Chris Monette’s film about the Growling Beaver Brevet deals with the essence of the event: the intersection of suffering and hope. As Dede Barry says, “There’s always light, there’s always beauty; you just have to seek it out.”

A very special thanks to everyone involved in the making of this film, and Chris most of all.
